Tales of a seventh grade something

For some great reason, I often think about my days in seventh grade. The only good thing that came out of that year, for me (1992) was the music. I've been compiling a list (in no particular order):

Annie Lennox- Walkin' on Broken Glass
Charles and Eddie- Would I Lie To You
Shakespears Sister- Stay
P.M. Dawn- I'd Die Without You
Def Leppard- Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad
RHCP-Under The Bridge
Del Amitri- The Last To Know
The Cure- Friday I'm In Love
Toad the Wet Sprocket- All I Want
Sophie B. Hawkins- Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover

I've been called a jukebox a time or two, but I could always use more insight. Let me know if you have anything better.

On being a tradesman/welder

Sometimes, I feel as though I am looked down upon by people my age because of what I do. "You have a degree, yet you still work with your hands and get dirty everyday?!" True, most of the guys I work with are old enough to be my dad. I know that God has given me an awesome ability that I praise Him for everyday. I also know that Jesus, the Man who saved me, was not afraid to get His hands dirty, calloused, pierced.
Paul said it best...as usual....1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 (NIV); "Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody."

Book review

I just finished reading this book. Not bad, an easy read....lots of amazing stories of, well, how God winks at you, with a bit of Scripture sprinkled throughout. I didn't know it at the time, but this is one of the "Oprah Books"...yikes.

Carry a lazer down the road that I must travel

Cold...nice. I saw snow flurries yesterday, and this morning I went outside, and it hurt my lungs to breathe. Ya'll be ready for some wicked snow pictures, eh?
Rarity, but needs respect all the same....Hide love away, orig. Beatles, cover by Eddie Vedder.
80's quiz......Bonus points for the title.
