Scenes from the forgotten

I live near a state hospital, and they were in practice of burying the dead on the grounds of the hospital. Some that are buried there (fourty to be exact) are known only to God.
Ecclesiastes 2:16 (NIV) "For the wise man, like the fool, will not be long remembered; in days to come both will be forgotten. Like the fool, the wise man too must die!"

Stay on the Sunny Side

Another Saturday....another tromp through the woods. Camera in tote this time, set off for the sunny side trail this time, which is adjacent to the A-trail. More pics on the Flickr page....including pics of my hiking buddies.

Day tripper

What an awesome day. Hit the A-trail (pronounced Ap-ah-lay-shin, for my southereners) near the county line. Opted out of the camera...just wanted to take some "mental pictures". I was with my two best friends...Dad and Dusty. It's something about the openess of a mountain, that can just take everything away...I can't say that I left anything there, but I feel refreshed.

It's right there; I don't know what it is, but something's about to happen.

I've been in an 80's mood lately....gnarly. It started with the music, of course, and has culminated into searching for stuff I had back in the day. I found my Big Wheel...Dukes of Hazzard with the e-brake; I dare you to ask for proof. I also agreed that getting a raise was...rad. The day will end with a viewing of the greatest movie of all time from the greatest decade of all time. Extra bonus points for the one who can identify the mis-interpreted lyrics in the title of this post.

Guilty pleasure volume one

After training for the past four months, and then finally running/walking a marathon, Jojo thought it was time for one of his G.P's. Here are the results...mmm, I still love the golden arches after all these years!!
