"I want to run...I want to hide..."

I've got 99 days until the M.C.M!!!! I celebrated this by running 16 miles today. For as much as I've been running, sometimes I think about why I do it. I started out doing it to have a release point, and it continues to be such a thing. Running gives me much more than I give it.

It gives me the kind of clarity I look for daily: 1 Peter 4:7 (NIV)... be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.

It gives me a goal: 1 Corinthans 9:24-28 (NIV) Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

Tangent: I've been HOOKED on Hillsong United's Look to You and Passion Worship Band's How Great Is Our God. These two are about a year old...I know I'm slowly Ketchup-n.

Tomorrow's Sunday!!...Please visit the church of your choice this week.
